Poor EMH has had a bad case of the Croup the last few days. It started out as what we thought was a virus but when he started having trouble breathing and the coughing got worse we decided it was probably more than a little virus. We took him to the doctor Friday and he said it was Croup. He was concerned about it and told us that he needed to sleep elevated. So we settled in for a long night, last night, on the sofa. We brought the blankets and pillows in and EMH thought it looked fun until we started trying to sleep. He and I were both very uncomfortable. He woke up several times saying "I go nite, nite". He loves his bed and that is where he wanted to be. We survived and he is much better tonight. He is still running a low grade temp so I guess we will be in for at least one more day.
EMH being sick came at a bad time. We had our annual Bethany picnic today and of course we like to go and show off our cute and perfect kiddos. :) They have a lot of fun things for the kids and they also provide lunch. SLH decided to go ahead and take AEH while EMH and I hung out at the house.
I sent the camera and asked SLH to take some pictures. Well, he took some pictures, all two of them!
They had face painting, a petting zoo, several jumping inflatables and horse riding.
AEH had a great time and when she got home I asked her what her favorite thing was and I couldn't believe what she said. An adopted, little girl from China played the violin for them during lunch and that was her favorite thing about the day. She came right home and got her violin out and played it for us in her own way. It amazes us and we are seeing it more and more everyday what she has a passion for and what she really likes. Out of all of the activities they had, seeing and hearing this little girl play the violin was what she enjoyed the most. I think we will definitely be trying out some violin lessons in the future.
EMH should be well soon and hopefully AEH won't get what he has.
I'll end with a cute picture of this precious brother and sister that I took last Sunday after church.

Croup is nothing to play around with. Thankfully, E has parents that are aware and do what is needed. Hope to see y'all soon and hope he starts to feel better.
That is right...croup can get quite serious.
I love that picture of them!
I know a wonderful violin teacher in Madison. I took lessons from her for many years. Hope E gets better soon! We miss seeing you!
